Hill Country Ranch on San Gabriel River

This ranch property for a client near Austin, Texas, in Williamson County, on the South San Gabriel River has a 150-ft. cliff near the river.  This ranch is still in the construction phase. Initial step in the design process is a site visit by architect Steve Chambers in order to understand the environs of the site and how it informs what the design "wants to be." Schematic design for the Austin Texas Hill Country home is shown at top of page and below these photos. These photos follow the process from site visit to finished construction. This home in the Hill Country with a barn and guest house is still in various phases of construction: the guest house (almost completed), the barn (still in progress), and the ranch main house (with sheathing, prior to stone veneer application). Photographs will continue to be added to the gallery, as the project progresses. Color sketches of completed ranch home project follow the photos.
